Illinois High School Basketball - Morton crushes Illinois Valley Central
December 17, 2022: Morton, IL 61550 Morton Potters (Morton, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL), 71-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Morton upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Potters travel to East Peoria (East Peoria, IL) to play the Raiders in a Mid-Illini bout on Monday, December 19. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 5-3. East Peoria lost 56-48 in their recent non-league bout against Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL)
Next up, the Grey Ghosts play the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses (Dixon, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Illinois Valley Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Dukes & Duchesses go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 59-50 non-league win over Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL).
