The Newton Local Indians basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Legacy Christian Academy Knights to 44 in the Indians non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Indians now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dixie for a Western Ohio contest on Tuesday, December 20. Newton Local will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 45-37 league win over Franklin Monroe (Pitsburg, OH). The Greyhounds record now stands at 5-1.

The Knights (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Dayton Christian (Miamisburg, OH). The WARRIORS enter the Metro Buckeye contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Dayton Christian triumphed over Emmanuel Christian Academy (Springfield, OH), 53-38, in a league contest.
