The Scales Mound Hornets basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Macomb Bombers to 31 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hornets now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dakota for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 27.

The Bombers (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Peoria Christian ran past El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL), 63-59, in a non-league contest.
