The Phillipsburg Stateliners basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders to 50 in the Stateliners non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Stateliners now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hillsborough for a Skyland - Delaware contest on Tuesday, December 20. Phillipsburg will meet a Raiders team coming off a 58-42 non-league win over Irvington (Irvington, NJ). The Raiders record now stands at 1-1.

The Raiders (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cranford (Cranford, NJ). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Cranford nudged Rahway (Rahway, NJ), 57-51, in a league contest.
