Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds (Mosca, CO) and the host Soroco Rams (Oak Creek, CO), saw Sangre de Cristo's basketball squad hold off Soroco by a count of 50-45.

With the victory, Sangre de Cristo upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Del Norte (Del Norte, CO) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Del Norte lost 56-46 in their recent non-league challenge against East (Cheyenne, WY)

Next up, the Rams play the Rangely Panthers (Rangely, CO) in a 2A/1A Western Slope challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Soroco will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
