New Mexico High School Basketball - Del Norte overwhelmed by West Mesa
December 17, 2022: Albuquerque, NM 87121 The West Mesa Mustangs basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Del Norte Knights to 24 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Mustangs now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manzano for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 20. West Mesa will battle a Monarchs team coming off a 64-26 non-league loss to Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Monarchs record now stands at 1-4.
The Knights (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Bears come into the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, La Cueva was routed by Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM), 61-48, in a non-league contest.
