The Chaparral Firebirds topped the host Youngker Roughriders basketball team by a final score of 40-31 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Firebirds face the American Leadership Academy - West Foothills Guardians (Waddell, AZ) in a non-league game, on Saturday, December 17. Chaparral will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Guardians enter the game with a 3-5 record after their 48-32 non-league win over Sierra Linda (Phoenix, AZ).
