Iowa High School Basketball - Dowling Catholic tops Prairie
December 17, 2022: West Des Moines, IA 50265 Dowling Catholic Maroons (West Des Moines, IA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Prairie Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA), 54-40 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Dowling Catholic upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Urbandale (Urbandale, IA) to play the J-Hawks in a Central Iowa Metro - Central bout on Tuesday, January 3. The J-Hawks come into the bout with a record of 3-6. Urbandale lost 51-34 in their recent non-league bout against Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA)
Next up, the Hawks play the Jefferson Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a Mississippi Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Prairie will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
