The Merritt Island Christian Cougars basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the host McKeel Academy Wildcats to 29 in the Cougars non-league victory on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eau Gallie for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 21. Merritt Island Christian will battle a Commodores team coming off a 55-50 non-league win over Cocoa (Cocoa, FL). The Commodores record now stands at 8-5.

The Wildcats (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Tenoroc (Lakeland, FL). The Titans come into the 4A District 7 contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Tenoroc was defeated by Lake Region (Eagle Lake, FL), 72-15, in a non-league contest.
