The Valley Christian Lions (Roseville, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA), 55-54 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Lions (10-2) will now prepare for their test against Sacramento Adventist (Carmichael, CA). The Capitals go into the Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League test with a 6-1 record.

The Hillmen now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Woodcreek for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 20. Placer will encounter a Timberwolves squad coming off a 76-55 non-league win over Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA). The Timberwolves record now stands at 7-2.
