New Mexico High School Basketball - Sandia fells Albuquerque Academy
December 17, 2022: Albuquerque, NM 87109 Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM), 63-44 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Sandia upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Matadors host Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Sundevils in a non-league bout on Monday, January 9. The Sundevils go into the bout with a record of 1-6.
Next up, the Chargers play the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Albuquerque Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Sartans go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 33-31 non-league win over Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM).
