New Jersey High School Basketball - St. Peter's Prep overwhelms Payne Tech
December 17, 2023: Newark, NJ 07107 Fans at Sunday's non-league challenge between the St. Peter's Prep Marauders (Jersey City, NJ) and the host Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ), witnessed St. Peter's Prep's basketball squad crush Payne Tech by a margin of 71-40.
The Marauders (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Union City (Union City, NJ). The Soaring Eagles go into the Hudson County - American test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Union City was trounced by Memorial (West New York, NJ), 51-48, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Columbia for a non-league test on Thursday, December 21.
