Connecticut High School Basketball - Classical overwhelmed by New London

In Tuesday's non-league test, the New London Whalers (New London, CT) basketball squad trounced the visiting Classical Purple (Providence, RI), by a score of 78-53.

Next, the Whalers encounter the Waterford Lancers (Waterford, CT) in a non-league test, on Thursday, December 19. New London will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record.

The Purple (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Smithfield (Esmond, RI). The Sentinels come into the Division 1 test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Smithfield was routed by Central (Providence, RI), 79-63, in a league test.
