Texas High School Basketball - Liberty can't get by New Home
December 17, 2024: New Home, TX 79383 New Home Leopards (New Home, TX) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Liberty Patriots (Lubbock, TX), 51-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, New Home advances its record to 8-3 on the year. The Leopards travel to Post (Post, TX) to meet the Antelopes in a 2A Region I District 4 match on Friday, December 20. The Antelopes enter the match with a record of 0-3. Post lost 58-34 in their recent non-league match against Borden County (Gail, TX)
The Patriots now own a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seminole for a non-league match on Friday, December 20. Liberty will meet a Indians squad coming off a 75-31 non-league loss to Estacado (Lubbock, TX). The Indians record now stands at 9-6.
