The Mesquite Skeeters defeated the host Saginaw Rough Riders basketball squad by a final score of 67-52 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

Next, the Skeeters clash with the Cedar Hill Longhorns (Cedar Hill, TX) in a 6A Region II District 11 outing, on Friday, December 20. Mesquite will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Longhorns come into the outing with a 11-5 record after their 74-65 non-league loss to Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall, TX).

The Rough Riders (6-10) will now prepare for their outing against Azle (Azle, TX). The Hornets come into the 5A Region I District 5 outing with a 8-12 record. In their last outing, Azle overcame Connally (Waco, TX), 53-52, in a non-league outing.
