Texas High School Basketball - Moody overwhelms Penelope
December 17, 2024: Moody, TX 76557 The Moody Bearcats basketball team scored 58 points and limited the visiting Penelope Wolverines to 12 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bearcats now possess a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Axtell for a 2A Region III District 17 game on Friday, December 20. Moody will play a Longhorns team coming off a 62-42 non-league loss to Wortham (Wortham, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Penelope falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Neches (Neches, TX) to play the Tigers in a 1A Region III District 24 game on Friday, December 20. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 8-9. Neches won 39-28 in their recent league game against Mount Calm (Mount Calm, TX)
