The Virginia Academy Patriots were victorious over the visiting New Hope Academy National Tigers basketball squad by a final score of 66-48 in Tuesday's league outing.

Next, the Patriots clash with the Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue Warriors (Lanham, MD) in a Freelance outing, on Wednesday, December 18. Virginia Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Warriors enter the outing with a 5-1 record after their 74-72 non-league win over Fairfax Christian (Dulles, VA).

The Tigers (6-7) will now prepare for their outing against Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Crusaders enter the Metro Private outing with a 6-4 record. In their last outing, Riverdale Baptist was defeated by Fairfax Christian (Dulles, VA), 70-64, in a non-league outing.
