Arkansas High School Basketball - Acorn can't hold off Waldron
December 17, 2024: Mena, AR 71953 Waldron Bulldogs (Waldron, AR) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Acorn Tigers (Mena, AR), 55-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Waldron advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Mansfield (Mansfield, AR) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Friday, January 3. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 5-3.
The Tigers now own a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Caddo Hills for a non-league match on Thursday, December 19. Acorn will face a Indians squad coming off a 41-23 league loss to Cutter-Morning Star (Hot Springs National Park, AR). The Indians record now stands at 8-6.
