Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons (Punta Gorda, FL) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Canterbury Cougars (Fort Myers, FL), 57-51 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Charlotte advances its record to 8-3 on the year. The Fightin' Tarpons travel to St. John's (Washington, DC) to encounter the Cadets in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 20. The Cadets come into the challenge with a record of 7-0. St. John's won 65-33 in their recent league challenge against Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue (Lanham, MD)

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Neumann Celtics (Naples, FL) in a 2A District 12 challenge, on Thursday, December 19. Canterbury will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Celtics come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 47-31 non-league loss to Seacrest Country Day (Naples, FL).
