December 17, 2024: Chase, KS 67524 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Central Plains Oilers (Claflin, KS) and the host Chase Kats (Chase, KS), observed Central Plains's basketball team overwhelm Chase by a margin of 86-3.
The Oilers (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Thomas More Prep-Marian (Hays, KS). The Monarchs come into the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Thomas More Prep-Marian was trounced by Hoxie (Hoxie, KS), 49-24, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Kats battle the Victoria Knights (Victoria, KS) in a Central Prairie challenge, on Friday, December 20. Chase will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 52-44 non-league loss to Osborne (Osborne, KS).
