December 17, 2024: Brandywine, MD 20613 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Gwynn Park Yellowjackets (Brandywine, MD) and the visiting Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers (Laurel, MD), observed Gwynn Park's basketball team overwhelm Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North by a score of 73-31.
The Yellowjackets (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Bowie (Bowie, MD). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Bowie trounced Eleanor Roosevelt (Greenbelt, MD), 53-40, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Friendly Patriots (Fort Washington, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge, on Thursday, December 19. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 48-25 league win over Crossland (Temple Hills, MD).
