The Meridian Mustangs basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Sterling Jets to 39 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Superior for a non-league game on Friday, December 20. Meridian will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 53-29 non-league win over Blue Hill (Blue Hill, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Sterling falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Jets host East Butler (Brainard, NE) to confront the Tigers in a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 1-2. East Butler lost 42-37 in their recent non-league game against Osceola (Osceola, NE)
