South Dakota High School Basketball - West Central toppled by Vermillion
December 17, 2024: Vermillion, SD 57069 Vermillion Tanagers (Vermillion, SD) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting West Central Trojans (Hartford, SD), 69-55 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Vermillion upgrades its record to 3-0 on the year. The Tanagers travel to Ponca (Ponca, NE) to face the Indians in a non-league match on Thursday, December 19. The Indians enter the match with a record of 2-3. Ponca lost 48-34 in their recent non-league match against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (Laurel, NE)
The Trojans now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Groton for a non-league match on Friday, December 20. West Central will face a Tigers squad coming off a 48-45 league win over Sisseton (Sisseton, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 2-1.
