Virginia High School Basketball - Rockbridge County can't hold off Broadway
December 17, 2024: Broadway, VA 22815 Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), 28-25 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Broadway upgrades its record to 3-1 on the year. The Gobblers travel to Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA) to face the Trailblazers in a non-league match on Friday, December 20. The Trailblazers enter the match with a record of 7-0. Spotswood won 45-10 in their recent non-league match against William Monroe (Stanardsville, VA)
The Wildcats now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waynesboro for a non-league match on Wednesday, December 18. Rockbridge County will face a Little Giants squad coming off a 26-18 non-league win over James River (Buchanan, VA). The Little Giants record now stands at 5-1.
