Mississippi High School Soccer - Forest nudges Wesson
December 17, 2024: Forest, MS 39074 The Forest Bearcats soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Wesson Cobras to 1 in the Bearcats non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Bearcats now hold a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Morton for a 4A Region 5 bout on Friday, December 20. Forest will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to McLaurin (Florence, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 4-7.
With the loss, Wesson moves to 2-5 on the year. The Cobras travel to Franklin County (Meadville, MS) to encounter the Bulldogs in a Class 1 Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Franklin County won 2-0 in their recent league bout against West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS)
