The Southwestern Piasa Birds basketball squad (Piasa, IL), was outscored 51-32 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Routt Catholic Rockets (Jacksonville, IL)

With the victory, Routt Catholic advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Rockets travel to Carrollton (Carrollton, IL) to meet the Hawks in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 9. The Hawks enter the battle with a record of 2-0.

The Piasa Birds now own a 0-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greenfield/Northwestern for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 18.
