December 18, 2021: Athens, IL 62613 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Athens Warriors (Athens, IL) and the visiting Edinburg Wildcats (Edinburg, IL), saw Athens's basketball squad overcome Edinburg by a tally of 57-39.
With the victory, Athens improves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Warriors host Williamsville (Williamsville, IL) to confront the Bullets in a Sangamo challenge on Tuesday, December 21. The Bullets come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Williamsville lost 57-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Routt Catholic (Jacksonville, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Calvary Saints (Springfield, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 7. Edinburg will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record.
