December 18, 2021: Lake Charles, LA 70605 The Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) basketball knocked off the visiting Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA), 58-39 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Buccaneers (14-1) will now prepare for their test against Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 5-5 record.
The Yellow Jackets now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Haughton for a 5A District 1 test on Tuesday, January 4. Byrd will encounter a Buccaneers squad coming off a 62-32 non-league win over Plain Dealing (Plain Dealing, LA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 9-1.
