New York High School Basketball - Bishop Loughlin holds off Newburgh Free Academy
December 18, 2021: Newburgh, NY 12550 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Bishop Loughlin Lions (Brooklyn, NY) and the host Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), saw Bishop Loughlin's basketball squad hold off Newburgh Free Academy by a tally of 70-64.
With the victory, Bishop Loughlin improves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia, PA) to confront the Saints in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 30. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 3-0.
Next up, the Goldbacks confront the St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints (Alexandria, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 18. Newburgh Free Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 78-63 league win over Rock Creek Christian Academy White (Upper Marlboro, MD).
