Selma Bears (Selma, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lindsay Cardinals (Lindsay, CA), 62-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Selma upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Bears travel to Sierra (Tollhouse, CA) to play the Chieftains in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 23. The Chieftains go into the bout with a record of 8-4.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Exeter Monarchs (Exeter, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 21. Lindsay will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Monarchs go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 67-40 league loss to Immanuel (Reedley, CA).
