Virginia High School Basketball - Churchland can't hold off Kellam
December 18, 2021: Virginia Beach, VA 23456 The Kellam Knights basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Churchland Truckers to 66 in the Knights non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Knights now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hickory for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 21. Kellam will battle a Hawks team coming off a 37-29 league loss to Indian River (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 1-5.
The Truckers (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Lafayette nudged Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA), 52-47, in a non-league contest.
