December 18, 2021: Crested Butte, CO 81224 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Crested Butte Titans (Crested Butte, CO) and the visiting Steamboat Springs Sailors (Steamboat Springs, CO), saw Crested Butte's basketball squad hold off Steamboat Springs by a tally of 47-46.
With the victory, Crested Butte improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Trinidad (Trinidad, CO) to play the Miners in a 2A Southern Peaks challenge on Friday, January 7. The Miners come into the challenge with a record of 1-6. Trinidad lost 51-24 in their recent non-league challenge against Sangre de Cristo (Mosca, CO)
Next up, the Sailors play the Basalt Longhorns (Basalt, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 4. Steamboat Springs will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 61-21 non-league loss to Glenwood Springs (Glenwood Springs, CO).
