The Thomas MacLaren School Highlanders basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Florence Huskies to 26 in the Highlanders non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Highlanders now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calhan for a 2A Black Forrest contest on Tuesday, January 11.

The Huskies (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Woodland Park (Woodland Park, CO). The Panthers enter the 5A/4A/3A Colorado Springs Metro - South contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Woodland Park was defeated by St. Mary's (Colorado Springs, CO), 88-20, in a league contest.
