Texas High School Basketball - Overton fells Winona
December 18, 2021: Overton, TX 75684 Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Winona Wildcats (Winona, TX), 55-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Overton upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Mustangs host Latexo (Latexo, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 30. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-6. Latexo lost 72-14 in their recent league bout against Lovelady (Lovelady, TX)
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Chapel Hill Red Devils (Mount Pleasant, TX) in a 3A Region II District 13 bout, on Monday, December 20. Winona will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 55-28 league win over Harmony (Big Sandy, TX).
