Illinois High School Basketball - Sherrard overwhelms Wethersfield
December 18, 2021: Sherrard, IL 61281 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL) and the visiting Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL), saw Sherrard's basketball team triumph over Wethersfield by a score of 71-24.
The Tigers now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sacred Heart-Griffin for a non-league contest on Monday, December 27. Sherrard will battle a Cyclones team coming off a 65-14 league win over Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 6-5.
The Flying Geese (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL). The Rockets come into the non-league contest with a 9-3 record.
