Kentucky High School Basketball - Cumberland County tops West Carter
December 18, 2022: Burkesville, KY 42717 Fans at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Cumberland County Panthers (Burkesville, KY) and the visiting West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY), saw Cumberland County's basketball squad knock off West Carter by a count of 48-38.
With the victory, Cumberland County upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Bluegrass United (Lexington, KY) to play the Bluehawks in a Ohio River HomeSchool challenge on Monday, December 19. The Bluehawks come into the challenge with a record of 6-6.
Next up, the Comets play the Belfry Pirates (Belfry, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. West Carter will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
