Minnesota High School Basketball - Braham overwhelmed by Staples-Motley
December 18, 2023: Staples, MN 56479 The Staples-Motley Cardinals basketball team scored 81 points and restricted the visiting Braham Bombers to 53 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Monday.
The Cardinals now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine River-Backus for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 21. Staples-Motley will battle a Tigers team coming off a 73-40 non-league loss to Pequot Lakes (Pequot Lakes, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 2-4.
The Bombers (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] (Isle, MN). The Huskies come into the A Section 5 contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] was routed by Barnum (Barnum, MN), 91-33, in a non-league contest.
