High School Basketball - Varsity Opponent can't hold off Delta Streets Academy
December 18, 2023: , The Delta Streets Academy Lions basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Varsity Opponent to 49 in the Lions non-league victory on Monday.
The Lions now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kirk Academy for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 20. Delta Streets Academy will battle a Raiders team coming off a 41-40 non-league win over DeSoto (West Helena, AR). The Raiders record now stands at 1-2.
The (175-644) will now prepare for their contest against Balboa School (Escondido, CA). The come into the Grind Session - Pacific contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Balboa School was nudged by Central Pointe Christian Academy (Kissimmee, FL), 60-55, in a league contest.
