Iowa High School Basketball - East Marshall holds off South Tama County
December 18, 2023: Le Grand, IA 50142 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA) and the visiting South Tama County Trojans (Tama, IA), saw East Marshall's basketball squad hold off South Tama County by a tally of 53-50.
With the victory, East Marshall improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Union (La Porte City, IA) to confront the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 6-1. Union won 66-49 in their recent league challenge against Jesup (Jesup, IA)
Next up, the Trojans confront the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings (Vinton, IA) in a WAMAC - West challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. South Tama County will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 80-41 league loss to Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA).
