December 18, 2023: Richmond, VA 23233 The Godwin Eagles (Richmond, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Meadowbrook Monarchs (Richmond, VA), 52-45 in Monday's non-league test.
The Eagles (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Thomas Jefferson (Richmond, VA). The Vikings go into the Colonial test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Thomas Jefferson got by Stafford (Falmouth, VA), 59-53, in a non-league test.
The Monarchs now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Henrico for a non-league test on Thursday, December 21. Meadowbrook will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 68-57 league win over Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-2.
