Palestine Wildcats (Palestine, TX) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Van Vandals (Van, TX), 68-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Palestine upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX) to play the Dragons in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Dragons come into the bout with a record of 9-7.

Next up, the Vandals play the Lindale Eagles (Lindale, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Van will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record.
