Texas High School Basketball - North Zulch can't hold off Iola
December 18, 2023: North Zulch, TX 77872 The Iola Bulldogs basketball team scored 37 points and held the host North Zulch Bulldogs to 35 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Monday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bruceville-Eddy for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Iola will battle a Eagles team coming off a 49-45 league loss to Moody (Moody, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 11-11.
The Bulldogs (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Round Top-Carmine (Carmine, TX). The Cubs enter the 1A Region IV District 29 contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Round Top-Carmine nudged Richards (Richards, TX), 41-35, in a league contest.
