Ohio High School Basketball - Northmont topped by Mississinawa Valley
December 18, 2023: Union City, OH 45390 The Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Northmont Thunderbolts to 34 in the Blackhawks non-league victory on Monday.
The Blackhawks now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host National Trail for a Western Ohio contest on Thursday, December 21. Mississinawa Valley will battle a Blazers team coming off a 36-33 non-league loss to Carlisle (Carlisle, OH). The Blazers record now stands at 2-3.
The Thunderbolts (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Springfield (Springfield, OH). The Wildcats come into the Greater Western Ohio contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Springfield was defeated by Miamisburg (Miamisburg, OH), 59-45, in a league contest.
