Virginia High School Basketball - Westfield tops Wakefield School
December 18, 2023: The Plains, VA 20198 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Westfield Bulldogs (Chantilly, VA) and the host Wakefield School Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA), saw Westfield's basketball squad knock off Wakefield School by a tally of 29-14.
With the victory, Westfield improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Oakton (Vienna, VA) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Oakton lost 38-15 in their recent non-league challenge against Dominion (Sterling, VA)
Next up, the Fighting Owls play the Manassas Park Cougars (Manassas Park, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Wakefield School will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
