Mississippi High School Soccer - Canton overwhelmed by Vicksburg
December 18, 2023: Vicksburg, MS 39180 The crowd at Monday's non-league test between the Vicksburg Gators (Vicksburg, MS) and the visiting Canton Tigers (Canton, MS), saw Vicksburg's soccer squad triumph over Canton by a count of 10-0.
The Gators now hold a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Riverside for a Class 1 Region 3 test on Tuesday, December 19. Vicksburg will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Pisgah (Sandhill, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Canton drops to 0-8 on the season. The Tigers host Provine (Jackson, MS) to meet the Rams in a 5A Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 9. The Rams come into the test with a record of 0-3.
