With the victory, Lufkin upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Panthers host Montgomery (Montgomery, TX) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Tigers play the Harker Heights Knights (Harker Heights, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. A&M Consolidated will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 49-44 league win over Hutto (Hutto, TX).
