California High School Basketball - Gustine knocked off by Mesa Verde
December 18, 2023: Citrus Heights, CA 95621 The Mesa Verde Mavericks basketball team scored 31 points and held the visiting Gustine Reds to 22 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Monday.
The Mavericks now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Davis for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Mesa Verde will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 74-71 non-league loss to Del Oro (Loomis, CA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-4.
The Reds (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Dos Palos (Dos Palos, CA). The Broncos enter the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Dos Palos ran past Farmersville (Farmersville, CA), 58-8, in a non-league contest.
