December 18, 2024: Port Byron, IL 61275 Riverdale Rams (Port Byron, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), 57-27 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Riverdale advances its record to 8-1 on the year. The Rams travel to Sherrard (Sherrard, IL) to face the Tigers in a Three Rivers - West match on Friday, December 20. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 8-1. Sherrard won 46-42 in their recent non-league match against Sterling (Sterling, IL)
The Maple Leafs now own a 0-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rock Island for a Western Big 6 match on Friday, December 20. Geneseo will face a Rocks squad coming off a 57-48 non-league win over Normal Community (Normal, IL). The Rocks record now stands at 8-0.
