December 18, 2024: Charlevoix, MI 49720 Charlevoix Rayders (Charlevoix, MI) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI), 41-38 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Charlevoix advances its record to 1-4 on the year. The Rayders host Petoskey (Petoskey, MI) to meet the Northmen in a non-league match on Friday, January 3. The Northmen enter the match with a record of 4-2. Petoskey lost 50-40 in their recent league match against Cadillac (Cadillac, MI)
The Tigers now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hale for a non-league match on Friday, December 20. Alcona will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 39-23 non-league loss to Tawas Area (Tawas City, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 1-4.
