The Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA) basketball edged the host The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA), 48-43 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Knights now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Archbishop Carroll for a Washington Catholic bout on Friday, December 20. Bishop O'Connell will play a Lions team coming off a 54-42 non-league loss to Conwell-Egan Catholic (Fairless Hills, PA). The Lions record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, The Covenant falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Riverside (Leesburg, VA) to play the Ram in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 19. The Ram go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Riverside won 50-47 in their recent non-league bout against James Wood (Winchester, VA)
